In recent years the  “special relationship” between the US and Israel has known several challenges. The lecture explains the sources and manifestations of this relationship as well as the reasons for the tension and the disagreements on critical regional issues, including the “the Arab Spring,” the nuclear deal with Iran and the peace process with the Palestinians. It also evaluates the potential outcomes of the next meeting between Netanyahu and Obama at the beginning g of November, and the possible course of relations between the two allies until the end of the Obama tenure at the White House.
