Shifting Alliances in the Middle East and their Impact on Global Terrorism

This lecture examines how the conflicting policies of global players (the U.S., Europe and Russia) and regional ones (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar; Iran)  have helped the expansion of Islamist and jihadist organizations in Syria and Iraq as a threat to the stability of Middle Eastern states and to the international community at large.
